1. LOYAL LION AUTO-RENEWAL

 

Who can sign up for a payment plan?

Anyone signing up for a Brisbane Lions Membership is able to do so on a payment plan.

 

How many payments are there?

You can choose to pay in one full instalment or across 10 monthly instalments starting in November

And as of March 1st, you can put your membership on a 6 month plan.

 

When will the payments occur?

Monthly instalments are due on the 30th of each month, or on the next business day, should it fall on a weekend or public holiday.

Members new to the upfront auto-renewal will have their instalment taken at the time of signing up.

 

Will my payment plan and membership roll over at the end of the season?

Members rolling over from 2016, will have their auto-renewal processed on November 30, 2016 for the 2017 season. Members will be notified in writing at least two weeks out from the payment due date.

 

Will my payment method be the same for the next season’s membership?

Yes! Unless you tell us otherwise, the same payment plan and credit/debit card will be used for 2017.

If you were on a 6 Monthly payment plan in 2016, you will be rolled in to the 2017 10 monthly instalments.

 

How do I opt out of the payment plan?

To opt out, just simply put your request in writing and send it to the membership team either by letter or email by Friday 25th November 2016. When requesting the cancellation, make sure you include your name, account ID and the reason for the cancellation.

 

Will opting out of the payment plan cancel my membership?

Unless you tell us you want to cancel both the membership and the payment plan, only the payment plan will be opted out of. If you want to cancel your membership as well, make sure you state this in your request.

 

How long will it take for the payment plan to be cancelled?

Your payment plan will be cancelled within 48 hours of the request being received.

 

What happens if a payment fails?

If your payment fails to go through, you will be notified via SMS immediately, and receive written notice in the mail.

Further attempts will be made throughout the month to receive the funds.

Should two or more payments fail to be processed, your game entry will be blocked, and all membership entitlements will be held until payment is received.

 

What happens if I owe money at the renewal period?

If you owe any money for the past seasons membership, the balance must be paid in full along with the first instalment for 2017, whether it be a monthly or upfront plan. For example, if you owe $50 from 2016, and your 2017 membership is $100 on a monthly plan – your first instalment on November 30th is $60.00 ($50 balance, $10 monthly payment).

 

What happens if I think a withdrawal has been incorrectly initiated?

If you have any questions or concerns about your payment plan, or believe that you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us on 1800 216 885.

 

 

2. MEMBERSHIP PACKS

 

When will I receive my 2017 membership pack?

Membership packs delivery will commence in December 2016 with Loyal Lion auto-renewals due to receive theirs first.

After this, all membership packs may take up to 3 weeks from the time of purchase to be delivered.

 

*Please note that some delays may be experienced during the Christmas and New Year period.

 

Did you purchase a new membership for someone else?

If you purchased a NEW Membership as a gift or on behalf of someone else, please immediately email membership@lions.com.auoutlining the following:

Your Details: Full name and address.

Member's Details: Full name, postal address, date of birth, email address and contact phone number.

Please note that if the membership account was created under the buyer’s name, the member card and pack will be addressed to the buyer.

 

What is included in the 2017 member pack?

The 2017 Membership Kit includes your member card/tickets, lanyard and card holder, member-only sticker, member reward level pin, key ring, 2017 fixture magnet and a $15 Lions Shop voucher.

 

 

3. CONCESSION, JUNIORS & COMPANIONS

 

What are the age restrictions & requirements for membership?

Baby: 0-4 years old as of the 1/1/17

Junior/Young Lion: under 15 years old as of 1/1/17

Youth: 15-17 years old as of 1/1/17

 

Who is eligible for Concession memberships?

Concession memberships are available for applicants holding a valid concession card – aged, single parent, disability or Veterans' Affairs. A copy of the card must be provided to the Club upon payment of your membership. Full time students may also hold a concession membership upon presentation of a valid student card.

 

What does my Government issued Companion card entitle me to?

All game entry members who hold a companion card are eligible for an extra card for their companion. Government issued companion cards must be presented when signing up in order to receive the extra membership.

*Please note that companion memberships do not receive the full member benefits

 

 

4. MEMBERSHIP CHANGES

 

How can I change my membership?

If you would like to change any of your personal details, please login to your myLions account to update. If you would like to make any changes to your membership package or your reserved seat, please contact the Membership team at membership@lions.com.au or 1800 216 885.

 

What happens if I want to cancel my membership?

We understand that sometimes your circumstances may change throughout the season and this may mean that you can no longer use your membership. All cancellations are at the discretion of the Membership Manager and are considered on an individual basis.

No refunds will be issued after 1 May 2017.

 

5. RESERVED SEATING

 

How do I reserve a seat at the Gabba?

To secure a reserved seat for every home game at the Gabba in the 2017 season, simply purchase a reserved seat membership from our list of options, and on your application you may request specific seats. There are three categories of seating for Lions members at the Gabba – Premium, Prime and Standard – with availability in all levels, in both licensed and unlicensed sections, with seats being allocated after the 9 December 2016 reserved seat cut off.

 

I am a Victorian member. Can I get reserved seats in Melbourne?

All Victorian memberships include General Admission entry to the MCG and Etihad Stadium. However, an upgrade fee can be paid to sit in a Lions members reserved seat area at both stadiums.

What do I do if there is a specific seat I want for my membership?

If you have a specific seat you would like to reserve at the Gabba, when your purchase your membership online simply make a note of the request in the notes to organise a priority booking. All renewing members have the chance to keep their reserved seat from the previous season when they sign up before the cut-off date 9 December 2016. After this date, all non-renewed seats will be released and are available for allocation, based on a first-in first-served basis. So to ensure the seat you want, sign up early and get on the priority allocation list!

 

How do I transfer my membership seat to someone else?

If you no longer want your membership seat and would like to give it to a friend or family member, you will need to write a formal letter of transfer. The letter must contain the details of the seat being transferred and the full membership details of the two parties. Please be aware, that a transfer will not be accepted unless issued by the 2016 seat holder. Seat transfers will be guaranteed if provided before 9 December 2016.

6. MERCHANDISE

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE 2017 MEMBER MERCHANDISE PACK?

The 2017 Members’ Polo (available in Male or Female sizes), Cap & Scarf.

 

What is the cost of the Merchandise Pack?

The member merchandise pack can be purchased at the exclusive $70 rate on the Loyal Lion auto-renewal plan until the end of February. From March 1st, member merchandise packs will be available only through the Lions Shop at $85.

 

Can I use my member $15 voucher on the pack?

The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. As such, members can only use their voucher on the member merchandise pack after February 28th. For full details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions

 

What sizes do the merchandise packs come in?

Available in Male sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 5XL, 7XL and Female sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20. A sizing chart is available on www.lionshop.com.au

 

CAN I ADD THIS MERCHANDISE TO MY LOYAL LION AUTO-RENEWAL PAYMENT PLAN?

Yes, you can add the merchandise pack on to your payment plan. Contact the Membership team on 1800 216 885.

Please note that the Member Merchandise Pack offer is only available while stocks last.

 

WHEN WILL MY MERCHANDISE PACK BE DELIVERED?

Merchandise packs will commence delivery in December and in some cases may arrive separately to membership packs. Alternatively, the merchandise packs will be available in-store at the Lions Shop from March 2017 at the normal price of $85.00.

 

7. PLAYER ACCESS & COMMUNITY DONATIONS

 

How can I get my Lions merchandise signed by a player?

Lions players are happy to sign autographs at open training sessions or public appearances if they are available. Unfortunately, the Club does not accept delivery of merchandise for the purpose of autographing for individuals or organisations.

What is your donation policy?

The Brisbane Lions AFC endeavours to assist as many schools, sporting clubs, and not for profit businesses involved in the game as possible, as well as charities and individuals with a connection to our Club.

Each request will be considered on its individual merits.

In most instances, assistance will not be made repeatedly to the same organisation or individual, or to third party fundraising activities. Priority is given to our established Community Partners and those with a strong connection to our Club.
